The all-new MedTech Innovation Exhibition & Conference took place on the 30th April at the Dexcom Stadium in Galway. Sutton Tools Ireland is proud to be a part of this innovative event. With a legacy of over 100 years of tool making for precision engineering, we have built a proven reputation of accuracy, reliability and consistency that modern healthcare requires.

Galway, Ireland, sits at the centre of one of the world’s most dynamic medical technology ecosystems. By creating a space for healthcare providers, investors, and policymakers to connect with the innovators of the technology behind the industry, MedTech aims to accelerate the implementation of transformative technologies and methodologies into the medical industry.

MedTech was curated to bring together global leaders in medical technology, device manufacturing, digital health, diagnostics, and healthcare innovation. A platform to share knowledge and experience, not just for the advancement of technology, but to build solutions for future patients and medicine.

As a trusted supplier to many manufacturers within Ireland’s medical industry, we felt it was important to exhibit at the Medtech 2026 Exhibition in Galway. The event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing customers, connect with new manufacturing partners, and discuss the challenges currently facing the industry. Most importantly, it allowed us to demonstrate how, as a manufacturer, we are supporting our customers through product innovation, supply chain support, and process improvement initiatives. Having a platform such as Medtech to showcase our tooling solutions and technical expertise was extremely valuable for our business and the customers we support.

Ahead of the exhibition, we asked some of the Sutton Tools team about their expectations for the all-new exhibition and here’s what they had to say:

With the anticipation building and a real buzz around the MedTech Exhibition, Sutton Tools used this opportunity to debut our Medical Machining Solutions brochure. A brochure created to solely focus on the medical industry – not only showcasing our product solutions, but a focal point for discussions around precision tooling for medical engineering.

Arriving at the Dexcom Stadium for Medtech 2026, Mick Steed joined the organisers and exhibitors making final touches and waiting in suspense for the doors to open. When 09:00a.m. came around, so did the steady footfall that continued throughout the day; a footfall that created a buzz in the atmosphere. Some of the comments heard throughout the day included “a prime venue”, “well laid out”, and “an impressive attendance”.

Sutton Tools Ireland at MedTech 2026Throughout the day, we were able to not only have those important conversations with our customers but also gain perspective from the entire supply chain on the challenges and successes happening in the medtech industry. There were also scheduled talks from various pioneers and experts in the medical technology industry, with topics ranging from sustainability and competitive advantage through to navigating AI in a world of digital change.

On reflection of the MedTech Innovation Exhibition & Conference 2026, Mick noted how it has been invaluable to exhibit amongst some of our existing customers and to be able to foster new and existing connections in a neutral, no-pressure environment. Mick also couldn’t not mention his birds eye view of the Connacht Rugby team in training, featuring some of Ireland’s national squad!

After a successful MedTech Exhibition, Sutton Tools Ireland will be following up on those newly formed relationships to ensure we fully comprehend the pain points the medical industry face and how we can help alleviate these with trusted product solutions.
